#2 - Putting out the Cameras - 3/31/25

Fig. 1 is the cage, now with the cameras inside. I have four cameras total, all of which are photo-timelapse cameras, and I have them each set up to take photos at different intervals (one set to every 5 minutes, one set to every 7 minutes, and two set up to take photos every 10 minutes.)


This will allow me to observe which insects arrive at what time while I'm not observing the carcass.


I have the two larger cameras (fig. 2) which I staked into the ground (inside of the cage) and positioned to face roughly where the calf will be (they will be adjusted once the calf goes in).


The other two cameras (which I unfortunately forgot to take photos of) are a slightly different model from the same brand. All cameras aim to serve the same purpose of showing insect succession in my absence, but just at different angles
